Russia’s export quotas on fertilizers to last until May 31, 2022

MOSCOW, Nov 8 (PRIME) – Russia will keep nitrogen and complex fertilizer export quotas from December 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022, the government said in a ruling published on November 3.

The non-tariff quota will amount to 5.9 million tonnes for nitrogen fertilizers and to 5.35 million tonnes for complex nitrogen-containing fertilizers. The Industry and Trade Ministry should define distribution of the quota between the exporters of fertilizers before November 25, and work together with the Agriculture Ministry on an order of the quota’s calculation.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the quota was introduced due to a surge of prices for natural to prevent deficit of fertilizers on the national market.
